Now that summer is almost over I'd like to try and increase our numbers and promote the club (Are we a club?). I'm looking for some ideas on places and ways to get some more members to join our ranks. We currently have 8 active and 3 additional who haven't been able to make it out to a meeting yet.
I'm also thinking that if we are going to continue getting together and growing as a group/club we should come up with a name. Any ideas or suggestions

I like "Sask Watch Club" and I think we should make it a province wide thing due to the population. As far as spreading the word I'm not sure...

I was thinking of "Saskatoon Watch Society" but I like Bruce's idea of making it province wide. It is a pretty niche group. P

Maybe Saskatchewan Chronometer Society so we don't sound like a block parent group? We could shorten is as Sask Chrono and SCS... I am also brainstorming on a good venue for our next meet.

I like society too, but if brings forward thoughts of a bunch of corduroy jackets with leather patched elbows. Feels stodgy. Sort of musty and stale... might be just me.
Club makes me think of high school debate team types.
I personally like group. Something like Saskatchewan Horological Group. I also like the idea of making it province wide, that'll definitely give us a boost in terms of forum numbers almost immediately.

Why about something basic like Saskatchewan Horologers. I get the same feeling from group as you do of club.
