If you could only have one? And explain why... (and if you do only have one, why is it that one?)

For me it will always be this one as I acquired it to mark my first big success as a manager in the car business. It also is a timeless beauty (to overwork a cliche).

My speedy will never leave my side. It's a gift from my wife, it was the watch that got me completely obsessed with watches, and it's a timeless design. I will be an old man in a rocking chair staring at that thing on my wrist...and loving it just as much.
Love the question Bruce

Wow that is a good question! I am not sure there are any that I would keep forever currently. I feel like I am in a progressively upward spiral to more serious time pieces. I don't have any monumental moments that I based my purchases on so they lack that sentimental touch. I would say that my Seiko SKX009 will probably always be in my collection.

For me it's this. I have no memory of my Grandfather ever not having it on. Trying to find out some history on it was what got me into watches.

Does anyone else think that Bruce started this post to see if i'd be willing to part with my vintage Datejust? For me it would have to be my Rolex Datejust 116200. I put al lot of thought into this question, and decided that i would keep my Datejust for two reasons. First, somewhat similar to Bruce i purchased this watch to mark an important milestone in my life, which was beginning my professional career/ starting graduate studies. I worked really hard to afford my first Rolex and could never see myself getting rid of it. Secondly, in my opinion a Datejust is the perfect everyday watch due to it's versatility.
